We’ve gone back to our roots and spoken to some of the people who have been involved with AIMS since (almost) the start. Firstly, we’ve interviewed Peter Windatt from BRI, who has been an AIMS partner since the early days and how his role has positively impacted our clients’ business. AIMS works with BRI for clients who need support with business recovery and insolvency. Peter
“I’m an accountant specialised in insolvency and I believe the world of accountancy has got ever more complicated in the last 30 years. One of the great things we had by having a relationship with AIMS on the insolvency side of the accountancy profession is that we made it very simple for their members because none of them that I’m aware of have specialised but know that whenever they picked up the phone we’d give them the best advice .”
We know and understand that we can provide high quality and low-cost accountancy services to SMEs, but there are areas in respect of which we need to look to our partners. Just like Peter says “AIMS always reached to myself and other partners to provide expertise in areas that weren’t their ‘communal garden area’ when that extra reach was needed, which was not very often.”
Peter believes that it was really easy to work with AIMS because of the way that we communicate with our clients, regular and involved contact, “the best thing about working with AIMS is that most of the accountants were so proactively involved with their clients that they saw problems before they became disasters. AIMS Accountants see the problem in the horizon before they become fatal.”
In the past 30 years there have been many impactful changes to all businesses, but what AIMS has been historically consistent at is being accessible by offering unlimited calls to our accountants, offering cost-effective services and fees, and not charging by the hour.
