You see one of the problems small business face is the endless amount of rules and regulations thrown at them. The latest Finance Act contains a little under 99,000 words and the Magna Carta, one of history’s most important documents has only 3,600 words! In fact hundreds of pages of tax legislation have been enacted over the years and it seems as though most of them are still with us, so wouldn’t it be a good idea to start cutting back? Wishful thinking!

This is why this sort of thing is left to your accountant. They’ll already know what’s important and should be in a position to tell you what you need to know and when and you need to concentrate on running and developing your business.
