I’ve covered many topics regarding the small business community and something that has always interested me is why business owners set up on their own in the first place. Seldom is the answer “It’s about the money”, and probably the most common reasons are “I don’t want to work for anyone else” or “I want to be my own boss”.
I would say that a huge chunk of you think about starting your own business whilst at your current job. Let’s face it we all have bad days and it’s usually on one of those bad days that we want to give it all up and go it alone. But it doesn’t always happen because of fear or the passion isn’t there or the business idea and you can’t start without an idea can you? Also acting on impulse can be quite dangerous if not thought out carefully.
You see a great business idea [to you] and passion go hand-in-hand and if you have both you can’t really fail – or can you? Obviously there is a lot to consider but if you have something that you think could set you on the path to getting out of your nine-to-five routine; although this won’t be easy either, then go for it and whatever the outcome you can say you gave it your best shot.
If you like the way we think – you will like the way we work.
